How long does it typically take to get a project completed?
Usually there is a week turn around depending on the project, supplies required, and other projects before yours. Carolyn's Sewing is a first come first serve service. It can take up to two weeks depending upon the current situation and if supplies need to be special ordered.
Do you offer pickup and delivery?
Yes, Currently you can contact me to make arrangements for your project and we can also arrange pick up when complete.
Do you fix zippers?
I can repair and replace zippers on just about anything. Some zippers need to be special ordered and these add time to finishing your project and depending on the size of the zipper, may add a small fee to the finished price.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, on some projects. If you are new to this service, I require a percentage of the project up front with the remainder due on pick up. This ensures I get paid and you pick up your project. This is necessary to protect my time in case of no-shows.
How much will it cost for me to utilize your service?
Pricing depends on the project and the materials that it requires. It is a project by project price model that is determined and agreed upon when your project is accepted.
Do you make curtains/drapes?
Yes, with some limitations. This will be determined on a project by project basis
Can you alter a wedding dress?
Yes. I can alter wedding dresses and formal wear. I would need to look at the dress to confirm if what you need is possible first.
